Buyana Financial Services is a black owned and managed close corporation. The CC was registered in December 2005 as Buy an a Financial Services with the financial services board. Its financial services provider number is 23401. The brokerage has got written authority to market the products of the following suppliers; Sanlam, Old mutual, Momentum, Metropolitan, Liberty, Allan Grey, PPS, Altrisk , Mutual and Federal and Auto General.
Financial Services was established by Mr Makhaya Buyana in 2005. The first office was opened in February 2006 in number 90 Alexandra Road King Williams Town. The close corporation have contracts with major insurance companies in South Africa. In September 2006 we moved to No: 13 Bantu Mall in Buffalo Road King Williams Town.
The King Williams Town office was closed in December 2010 and we opened in number 63 4th Avenue, 8B The Mall, Newton Park, Port Elizabeth. The close corporation is based on good business ethics where client satisfaction comes first. It strives to offer financial solutions that are suitable for client individual needs.

Makhaya Buyana is the managing owner of this close corporation. He joined the insurance industry in 1997. Before that he was working for the Citizen bank formally known as Ciskei building society. He resigned from the bank in 1996 where he was a sub-branch manager in Zwelitsha sub-branch.

He also received his in service training from the insurance companies. In 2012 he wrote all the examinations required by the Financial Services Board; the exams for representatives, RE 1, and the one for key individuals RE.
While he was with the bank he achieved various awards for production and quality of work according to the standards of the bank. While he was with Southern Life, in 2000, he won a trip to Mauritius. In 2005 he won a trip to Australia to watch the rugby world cup while he was an advisor at Sanlam.
